This photo was taken in the back garden of the house in Shortlands, Bromley, just before WWII with the photographer's back to the building.

This was the house where great uncle Sid was killed in 1940 when a landmine (on a parachute) fell on the house after the all-clear had sounded.

The house was demolished and was rebuilt after the war.
